Oh, I agree the cause was lost from the beginning.. The north had the ability to outlast the south. The only thing the south could hope for was they could score early victories (which they did) and demoralize the people in the north, causing them to sue for peace (which they didn't) . And, don't get me wrong, I have never regretted the outcome. The entire world would be different today had the secession been successful.

Well sir, assuming I'm not banned again, I will address your notions as soon as I finish tearing up divide peak and boogie boarding at the Carpinteria State Beach. Wow! It doesn't get much more paradisey than this! Yesterday, my friend who has retired here served me and cookie some smoked salmon. I do believe it was the best meat I've ever tasted. Don't let me stop you from making sophomoric jokes

So combative. I enjoy banter as much as the next guy. I don't even mind when things get hostile. But, it's apparent, some of you are not accustomed to losing an argument.

I've stated this several times before, I'll try once more. All you need to do is find something I've posted that isn't righteous to the core when taken in context without adding your spinny spin or assuming the worst interpretation, copy/paste it, and explain the problem it presents your sensibilities. So far, that really hasn't happened, has it? All my responses have been wasted on shrill accusations and insults. Ain't nobody got time for that.

While camping, I had cause to dress down a young father in the presence of his young son. It wouldn't have happened had he not been full of pride and come at me. I feel plum awful about it and I'm certain it's partly due to the frame of mind that's rubbed off on me while engaging some of you. Combative, unforgiving, void of grace. I don't want to be like that so, I'll try once more to ignore your responses that lack substance. Follow the directions in the previous paragraph to post something of substance more likely to advance discussion.

When I returned home yesterday, I thought I'd tune into CSPAN to see how they're handling the upcoming election. They were running clips of a younger Biden saying the same sort of things I've posted here that have prompted accusations of racism. So, keep in mind, when you accuse me, you're not only accusing fine people like Candace Owens but you're also accusing lipshitz liberals like Biden.

While it's impossible for me to fully understand that perspective of an African American, that goes both ways. I offered my honest perspective. You no likey? Persuade me with logic and honesty. Otherwise, pound sand.

Or, did my bad vision deceive me while viewing on the phone and it was Life Hawk who besmirched good ole' KY? Speaking of bad teeth, check out Knopfler when he was young. I'm not the only one who's noticed Brits have/had bad teeth. I wish you could view the last 50 seconds of this. It seems to be corrupted but it was an inside view of rehearsal, pure gold.
