Honest lead vendors and IMOs don't re-sell leads. But crooked ones do. And they sell them as PDFs. Not hard copies.
An IMO should never sell leads that they charged the agent full price for, even if that agent goes to another IMO. EFES is an IMO that will resell your leads if you leave, even if they did nothing to subsidize the lead cost.
I will never trust my mail to an IMO ever again. No reason anyone but I should have a copy of the leads I paid for. When an agent goes on an IMO mail program, and the IMO becomes the disbursing entity, in effect metering out the agent's lead flow, it is a recipe for the agent to get f*cked. And I do not use that language lightly.
In my book, any IMO that resells previously sold leads is a crooked IMO. The EFES gang will come along and say I'm a troll. But I will hold that grudge til the day I draw my last breath. Crooked IMO.
Why would a vendor mailing a hard copy to you make any difference as to a lead being resold?
If you get the hard copy and you just placed the order, you have a high degree of certainty that that lead, even if it will be resold down the road, has not been sold to another agent. There is the chance that it is being sold as a pdf copy to another agent, but there is only one hard copy of the physical card. I prefer to knock with the actual card if possible.
