Final Expense Life Agency $5K

I am looking to actually utilize my NC licences this year. (Life/Health/LTC). I also posed this question in the LTC section for individuals that are running agencies, not necessarily in my market. (NC,SC) If you had $5K how would you spend it if you were independent and wanted to start an agency? Prefer only responses from agency owners. Thanks in advance for any input.

On copies of your resume? If you've only got 5k to start an agency you are doomed to fail.

If $5k is not enough to start. What is good startup amount? In this case I would be the sole Agent for approximate on 6-year to ensure carriers and processes were in place.

Then you're not starting an agency, you're starting in personal production. Different ballgame. You need to look for marketing efforts that will return an immediate result. You can't afford to buy leads that will generate business two months down the road.

Perhaps spend it on gas to do some door knocking? Hopefully the FE experts will have some ideas for you. Also, is this 5k in addition to savings to pay household bills until the income starts to come in?

You threw everyone off by saying agency. You just want to start selling FE.
$5,000 is more than many agents start with.
Just use it to buy leads. Most use direct mail. Some buy telemarketer or preset appointments.
Just buy the leads and run the appointments and as the first few thousand come in buy more leads. Pretty soon for each $1,000 you are spending on leads you will be able to keep $1,000 and it builds from there.
