Fire protection class 5

Hello, I'm licensed P&C, but don't actively sell it, so I only have some basic knowledge in the industry. I'm on Medicare and Health side of things. I have my homeowners through a carrier I'm not fond of what so ever. But the premiums low enough to bite the bullet. Even with commission factored in, the carriers I have access to still aren't competitive. The reason is I'm fire protection class 5. I'm just outside city limits, but there's a volunteer fire dept within 5 miles. Just over the city limit border is another station, this one within 5 miles as well. Speaking with them, the firehouse said even though were just over the line, they still would respond if needing to. No fire hydrants in neighborhood.

So, any suggestions on carriers that could be decent for my fire protection situation?

Thanks for any advice

Might help to know what city and state. Many insurers changed their fire code designations in the last year or so due to lack of hydrants in the area. Some even said it was a means to have a rate increase without having a rate increase.. A working pumper on a fire goes through hundreds of gallons per minute, a tanker holds 2000-3000 gallons. Without an easy refill spot or a working hydrant, the pumper will drain a tanker in no time. We sometimes say that unless the truck is in the driveway with the water running when the fire starts, the house will be lost before water gets to it. If the volunteer department does not have regular staff of firefighters and is truly volunteer, many carriers will not write the business if more than 5 miles away

Spring Hill TN, 37174. There's a county line right through it, I'm in Maury
