So I started with EFES. Got two contracts with RNA and Mon. Waiting on a couple others to come back, Americo and Kemper.

Waiting for my mail drop to come, I bought smoe aged leads. When I say aged, I mean ancient. Like over three years old. I would have bought some younger leads, but all the fresh ones are much further from me. I live in West Tennessee and EFES just doesn't have much fresh inventory here. So, here's my story.

I bought 12 leads for Thusday and Friday and drove up to the county I'm working. On Thursday, I had three sit downs and sold nothing. Nearly all the folks I found at home were very nice and remembered the card, but they said "well I waited and no one ever called so I bought other insurance." I failed to get any of them to let me review. Bottom line, I need help with handling that objection.

I did go to one house where the name on the lead was already dead. I got it an presented to the new owners. They had no insurance and qualified for immediate coverage based on what they told me. We were getting ready to make the sale, when they told me they have no bank account. My understanding is that we can't do this without a bank account. Am I wrong? If so, what's the process?

Friday, I only got in one house, about half my leads were already dead. THe house I went into, had a great presentation, but the guy was on Nitro, and had $17,000 in coverage with Col. Penn and MoO mixed. RNA is graded as I understand and Mon was more expensive. No deal.

I'm not sure I'm making myself clear, but I'd enjoy any advice. My results are pretty poor I think. 18 leads in all, six where dead leaving 12 with no sales.

On the other hand, I bought three fresh leads in the area I live, all that were available. I knocked those doors and on one of them, the lady's daughter was there but not the lead. She called her mom and we had a nice conversation and have an oppointment tomorrow afternoon! Wish me luck.

Also, I'm thinking of buying some fresher leads on the other end of the state, as there are plenty there, and making an over night trip this week.

As far as the couple with no bank account go back and write them on direct bill or draft a debit card. All government benefits now go to a card

Every scenario you had would be a sale once you gain more experience. Everyone on SS either gets direct deposit or a direct express debit card. There are carriers that will take that card for recurring payment. 5 star is the best for that.

The one with mutual and colonial was a great prospect. You don't enough experience yet in the underwriting area, nor enough carriers to be able to place everyone yet.

stay on here and keep running leads. You'll get better with time. Its not the leads, its you...

Thanks J. What part if the state are you in? You're right. I'm the problem. Never blamed the leads. Thanks for the reply.

Toranaga -- if you want to come on a ride along with me this week -- I'll be out WED, TH, and FRI in Chattanooga.

You're welcome to join -- I'll be out 1PM EST to sundown each day; enough to get in 4-5 appointments.

With the nitro -- could have hit him with 5-Star easy. Same with the no bank accout couple.

You did well to get in so many doors with leads that old. Trust me, you should feel pretty good about that.

Some won't review with you, even if you ask.

Let me know if you're interested.

Hell yeah. I'll give you a shout Tuesday to nail it down. Thanks Dave.

That was also my thoughts. I think you will be just fine once you learn products and underwriting. Don't be discouraged. These ancient leads ar a good way not to burn big bucks learning.
