First Two Days in The Field

Thanks J. What part if the state are you in? You're right. I'm the problem. Never blamed the leads. Thanks for the reply.

I'm in Cleveland. I wasn't trying to sound harsh, just wanted you to realize where you were missing the mark. Don't lose those leads, you can go back on those folks once you get some more knowledge. Very important to have good record keeping in this business (that is something I struggled with early on, keeping good notes and leads for future followup).

Reardon you are a good man. I still owe you a lunch for those delivery notices you dropped off at my office :)

I took it as friendly advice. I mean that. I know you are right. My favorite quote fromNick Murray's book "A Game of Numbers" is, "I am the problem, I am the solution." Anyway, funny thing about that Penn contract. The guy showed me the illustration. It clearly said "term insurance" on the top of it, but it showed a small CV accumulation aafter four years or so and growing for the whole term. I come from the FA world and have seen plenty of term policies, but none that showed a CV. What am I missing?

You will be fine. I've talked to you enough times to know you will figure this out. There's just growing pains to start.

I just replaced a Physicians Life term policy that had a cash value rider. The guy is getting $600 back from PL. There's some odd stuff out there.

On those others it's good that you were able to meet with people on those old leads. Everyone has a bank account now that gets money from the government. If they don't have their own account then they get the money on the direct express card.

EFES doesn't have a company that takes the Direct Express. They are gearing up with Libery Bankers for that but LB's rates are too high. Americo is supposed to start taking the card but they haven't said when.

You can do monthly direct with AmAm and UHL although neither are very good choices.

I wouldn't hurt you to hook up with Readen. I know you are on Travis' team so you should look at going up and spending a day or two with him.

Thanks, JD. I'm hoping to get up to see Travis soon. It's really not much further than Chattanooga. You ever work Gibson County around Humboldt or Milan? That's where I was last week. I enjoyed the poeple alot. Got my truck washed at a church and they threw in some grilled chicken and I got to go through my pitch with the old lady in charge. She gave me her number and asked me to give her a call next time I'm up that way. I would have gone to see her that evening but I had to get back home to a family event.

Have you always been in Cleveland?

I used to go down that way all the time when I was horseshowing. The world championship flag race is in Milan every July. I still go down there for that.

The only part of Tn I work now is Montgomery County since Clarksville is right across the border from Ft Campbell/Oak Grove. I don't get leads there it's referrals from my clients just across the border.

Back when I did MA plans I worked Nashville quite a bit because they had this very good SNP. I liked working the Nashville area but it's a 100 miles for me and I don't have to drive that far anymore.

I'm a 150 miles from Milan.
