Florida Brevard

i’m trying to help someone that is a vet living in Brevard and he insists there’s a part B give back for $175 there. I cannot find it with Aetna, WellCare, UHC or Humana. Does anyone any info on such a plan?

I found this site, looked up a Brevard, FL county zip code, entered it, clicked on the left to show all plans and then down lower only plans that have part B reductions

https://enroll.clearmatchmedicare.com/planlist
(this takes you to the page to put in the zip code and then the county comes up).

By the way you can put in any zip code in any state to see what comes up.

Presuming this is correct it looks like there are a bunch of MAP's with the part B premium reduction

According to the URL I gave you full giveback ones are:

Humana Full Access Giveback H5216-311 H5216-311 (PPO)
Devoted CHOICE GIVEBACK Florida H9884-008 (PPO)
Devoted GIVEBACK Florida H1290-045 (HMO)

IF for some reason those don't suit due to other things with them, here are ones over $100 (the lowest was 80 CENTS!!! and a handful were $3 and under - like why bother?):

Humana USAA Honor Giveback H5216-256 (PPO) ($140)
AARP Medicare Advantage Patriot No Rx FL-MA2 H2406-130 (PPO) ($100)
Cigna Preferred Savings Medicare H5410-028 (HMO) ($114)
Wellcare Giveback H1032-193 (HMO) ($132)
Cigna Courage Medicare H5410-057 (HMO) ($122)
Wellcare Patriot Giveback H1032-239 (HMO) ($130)
CareFree Platinum Giveback H1019-139 (HMO) ($140)
CareSalute H1019-143 (HMO-POS) ($115)
CareComplete Platinum H1019-108 (HMO C-SNP) ($100)
CareBreeze Platinum H1019-117 (HMO C-SNP) ($100)

Of course the better part of prudence is check in a known credible site to make sure what is on this site is accurate. For example I didn't even see Humana 393 on there.

Thanks… she said it was someone with VA coverage and did not think to look at plans with RX coverarge… annon I do like that site you linked ..easy to read .. I use connecture… it has been a busy year … too many out of state clients .. takes twice as long as a local enrolle due not being framiliar with networks in every state…

I should know Florida since I spend 4 months in Florida after AEp

Well since they get Rx coverage with the VA they can check which one is cheaper when they go to buy meds. Of course the VA hospital may be a good distance from where they live so useless in that respect.

As far as I could tell there was no giveback programs in FL for straight Medicare B probably because Medicaid and Medicaid "lite" cover B and D premiums that way instead. So depending on which of those they qualify for then no need for a supplement as Medicaid picks that up for some depending on the assistance program. The person may not know about Medicaid assistance for OM. You could tell her to look at that too. If the vet is low income enough to qualify for a giveback then likely they could get Medicaid with their Medicare B and so not need a supplement or D (well if FL rules are the same as where I live that is).

Just be careful in Brevard County. A lot of people want access to health first providers and Holmes regional hospital.
find out if they accept Humana ppo 311 out of network. Health First doctors tend to only want to take their own Health First HMO.

Hate to say it , but this thread just proves that people have no business selling plans out of state. Might as well call Medicare. The client knew more about the plans.

Also no idea about the local health systems here in Central Florida. I rattle off details like these from memory.

What expertise are you providing in cases like this? Thank him for his service and refer that dude out to a local expert.
