Does anyone out there know what home insurance companies are appointing in Florida? I have been doing auto & commercial for 26 years and would like to expand...thank you in advance.

Why not check with your auto and commercial carriers to see if they also do homeowners? You'll already have your foot in the door.

Appreciate the response...Florida auto carriers don't have home insurance here unless it's a captive agency.

If you are working down south (Dade/Broward/Palm Beach counites), you will need Citizens. They are the only carrier for most of those homes. For the rest of the state you could look at Cypress, Frontline, Southern Oak, and maybe Edison/Florida Peninsula. But those all require newer construction and/or newer roofs. Otherwise you are back at Citizens.
