Hey guys,

1) For those of you guys currently appointed with Foresters, I'd like to know what is it you like about them & in what situations they are a good fit for your potential clients?

2) Are applicants approved after their phone interview?

Thanks in advance,

Funguy

Can't beat price, great agent support, POS decent. I have had no pending business that wasn't a thing I missed vs TA. If I recall bigger issues are neuropathy, and COPD.

I like them, too many things to list that they are good for, one example is crazies on a bunch of depression or anxiety meds, first day coverage every time. They also are very cheap when addind accidental, all policies include common carrier rider at no charge as well as a adb. They give a yes or no at end of phi.

"The results of the interview are........send to foresters for extended review. "F___k"

Only happened once so far.

They are OK. Middle of the pack pricing. Will usually get a decision at the end of the POS interview. If you don't get an answer go ahead and treat it as a decline and look elsewhere. They are going want you and the client to do hoop jumping otherwise.

They will take some things that others won't but that list has gotten smaller as I've found other companies.

They supposedly do the Wed drafts now. I haven't done one and I've heard conflicting stories about how it works in practice.

Before their rate increase 3 years ago I used then quite a bit. Since then I haven't found much of a need for them. They are not a company I carry in my bag that I use regularly. But I do have them in the car in case I run into something where they fit.

Who prices better then foresters?

For a female age 65 non smoker, there's SLAC, MoO, Trans, Trinity, Oxford. Just to name a few.

Several others within $1/mo that are non fraternals.

If you think Foresters is a price leader you definitely need more companies.

I like Foresters a lot. Good rates, easy app, great service, no bs. You should take a look at SNL also. Talk about an agent focused carrier. My biggest gripe about SNL is that they don't pay on the policy fee. That's $40+ out of my pocket on every app.
