So back in June this lady calls.
1. She is losing medicaid.
1a. Might have a large spend down... might not.
1b. Does not know exactly when she will lose benefits.
2. She comes in on the 22nd to fill out an application.
2a. Plan N with UOO is all she'll qualify for at this time.
2b. She was scheduled for knee replacement sometime in July.
3. I call her several times after the 22nd to get the desired effective date so we can submit application.
3a. She calls back after about six calls with "Let's hold off, I can't get in touch with my case worker."
IMO... case closed.
She calls today. In the hospital. Knee replacement last week didn't go so well.
She needs to go ahead on that insurance. Can't reach Medicaid. Wants it effect.... JULY 1.
Sorry, lady... I'm busy today and we'll need a new application. I can come by the hospital tomorrow or Friday for a new set of signatures. We can request an effective date of the date signed at the earliest.
