Anyone can share a little information about geico insurance. I come across them a lot and they tend to have a low rate. Any idea how is there policy written and what is the bad in the policy.

I have a policy with Geico and it's great. They've had to handle two claims with me and they've always been more than fair. They're a good company with great branding.

The best thing you can do is what you should be doing with any other prospect, go over the coverage limits and make sure the prospects know what they're getting. Any of the call center carriers (Geico, Progressive, etc) are going to have reps that are happily going to write state minimums or do something less direct and not have the UI/UM match the liability. Helping folks understand the holes in the coverage "the other guy" left them exposed to helps you turn it into a service vs a commodity. That's an angle you should always be able to win against Geico.

Great advice Josh find out difference in coverage and price is important but at some point we all mus sell and be able to tell the prospect why they should be with us. But I am not a sales manager with a company so I do know you have to be somewhere in the ball park. Most of the Geico policies I quote against are state mins or missing med pay or UIM so look for holes

the issue with geico is that they are all call centers. if you know what you need, it can be great if their rate wins out. if you are an average joe and you get state minimums and dont know any better, thats when the lizard bites back.

They have a few retail agencies, one in Edison nj, another in Allentown pa, The allentown guy is always runing an ad on craigslist looking for inside help. 9-5. Look on Gieco's website, they are opening up retail agencies in selected markets. Just auto

When claim times comes, do they want to get advice from the cold blooded lizard on the phone.

Why are we trying to demonize geico? I've had a claim with them and it turned out great. I spoke with a friendly CSR that took my claim info and the adjuster seemed competent and answered all my questions.

I would say that b61 is not demonizing per say but giving some ammo to the OP. Having a local agent is sometimes a difference that needs to be pointed out. I mean the person came on looking for some ammo. And there is some ammo. I don't have a dog in the fight...just my 2cents.

On further inspection you gave some solid advice earlier in thread. Sorry, I skipped over on first read.
