Hey guys. I have a client who does 100% subcontracting, has one employee who is an assistant. No one wants to touch this for some reason. Any idea where i can look.

I've been getting leads for Smaller GC's in California and they have been SOL! One WC MGA that I work with tells me carriers are wanting min prem of $25k for GC's.

All of them have been referred to the State Fund folks.

Thats what I'm getting too. State fund has had the app for about a month now. NOt sure why though, its like no risk.

It's a very big risk, especially if any subcontractor used fails to have workers compensation. What state are you in? We have markets for this type of risk in Florida. We are affiliated with a Payroll Company so we concentrate completely on the Business Insurance side of P&C.

State Fund is so back up from what I hear. I heard they went the route of 2 MGAs for the state to handle all cases. Which is really dumb considering how much volume there is to be expected.

yeah, they are only going through MGA's from now on. See a govt run insurance system. Who says they are useless?
