I would do the 60/5 and believe that I would be vested. If I thought for a second I would not stay for 3 years, I would not join in the first place. The renewals are the key for LTC.

I believe the reason for the original post was to question where to get good LTC training?

If westcoastnative is new to the LTC business, in today's market, IMO there's no way should he start out independent.

One other thing, when you leave them, you cannot re-appoint to write Genworth LTC for I believe it is at least 24 months. If you are going to specialize in LTC, that is difficult.

OK, this is only my opinion.

You don't need their training. Selling LTC is best learned by doing it.

I know it sounds good to sit in a classroom and be trained.

Have your wife pass the insurance exam and get her licensed.
