Getting Leads at a Vendors Table

I have an opportunity to have a table inside a mall for three days(Fri, Sat, and Sun). My goal is to get 100 leads for quoting home and auto. My main carrier is Erie with Progressive and Superior Access being the others.

Any suggestions on how to get leads from this vendor opportunity.

My plan was to offer a Free Quote with a chance to win either a gas card or a car wash

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Let me know how that works out. All jokes aside, I would hire a young super hot college girl to work the crowds. I hired 2 super hot college girls to collect names a golf outting and they literally had every single 4 some fill out sheets for my quotes. paid them $100 each. Otherwise, I think you'll need somebody (or yourself..) who's either GREAT at pulling people...or offer something free.

There's definitely a skill in doing that by the way. Some people have, some don't. I don't.

Get cards from every person you can there. Almost every kiosk will be an independent company or franchise and you can get contact info for them. From there work it like any other lead you can get.

Keep us posted. I did this- not at a mall though. I ended up getting a lot if names but not really quoting. I did write about $10k in premium over the next few months. It's low cost, but time consuming. Worth a shot.

For that, you had both the right audience and good attention-getters. Gotta make sure you have both. One example that sticks out that is NOT good to do: earlier this year they had a fair-type deal at a local community park, and there was like an Edward Jones financial guy under an ez-up in front of the entrance. It clearly wasn't working very well for him.

Let the hot girls man the booth, you should go hit up those poor sap sitting around waiting for their wives and gfs. They got nothing but time.

I did a home show once and it produced little to no results. I'm usually positive on here but I hated this method of prospecting. If you are getting the booth for free I would say that is the only way it would be beneficial to spend your time on this.

Where are you located?

lol, reminds me of the days I was young and dumb and thought I was going to make it big in the world of MLM. You've got a captive audience on those mall benches.

Thanks for the feedback. I am in Lancaster, PA
My CSR and I will "man" the booth but I will do most of the time.
I have a life size cut out of Flo(Progressive) that I hope will be an attention grabber

I am a familiar face in the community since I taught middle school for 10 years. Hoping to run into some people I know that may not realize that I do auto insurance. Will update after the event

Do a $250 Target gift card giveaway. It has to be big enough to get people to stare at it for a minute to make sure the sign doesn't say $25 gift card. The entry form needs to have all the info you need for a quote. You will get 100+ entries a day if you at a mall. Most of them are garbage and/or bogus info except their phone number, but you will write enough policies that will payoff the investment by several multiples.

However you will lose in the end, because it will take you 1-2 weeks to call all those people and quote them. And then another week to track them down to sign apps and get payment info. The time spent on this part will make this prospecting effort a loser. If spending 1-2 weeks to write 10 policies sounds good at this point in your career, then go for it. It was worth it when I was starting out with no clients on the books, but I wouldn't waste my time on it now.
