What part of TN?

I'm in Chattanooga! Any info. on the Independent Health Business here?? We're like the Insurance Capital here... UNUM-PROVIDENT are headquartered her..... Blue Cross Blue Shield employs hundreds here and are about to open a new huge facility downtown.... Cigna also employs hundreds here also. FYI- also the location of the new billion dollar Volkswagon plant.

No boooos please.... lol!!! Formerly from the mortgage industry, but I really believe I can be asset to this industry and my community. I know so many self-employed that rely on their spouses coverages.

I also interviewed with America's Health Team.... any new information on that company or any suggests for GA's in this area??

America's Health Team? Ummm.....do your homework. Do NOT sign on with any agency without a pre-nup - an upfront, in writing release.

Also make sure you're getting top commish - 20% is top commish with more carriers. Also make sure you'll be able to represent all the major carriers in your state.

Talked to a former mortgage guy yesterday. He was making about $150,000 now he is out of work and talking about starting a tile cleaning business. I have a daughter living in Cleveland, TN, so I am in Chattanooga quite often. It is a beautiful place. I have been to the Acquarium, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and Bea's Restaurant. How is the business climate there now? Welcome to the forum. You will find some real help here and are lucky to be near several pros in the Atlanta area!

Yes, Cleveland..... just minutes away! It is a beautiful place... been here all my life. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate the beauty and quality of life here.

I've got to see the sale... I've read a lot of your post mention Assurant and GR.... can I find those coverages to view and look over??

You have the Lookout Mtn elite and everyone else (including those on Signal) are just commoners.

It has been 33 yrs since I lived there, and then for less than 2 yrs, but I found the business community to be very much a GOB mentality.

TNAgent, My General agent is out of TN and he's great. Definitely helped me out tremendously when I was BRAND NEW. I'm still new, but not BRAND NEW lol. PM me if you'd like his contact info. Also, he pays all the top comm and all that good stuff mentioned earlier in the post.
