Getting Non-Resident Producer Licenses

I already have a producer license in my home state. If I wanted to get non-resident producer licenses outside of my home state, it seems to me like there are 3 ways to apply:

I could either do it on that state's Department of Insurance. Or I could use NIPR with an added fee. Or I could use Sircon/Vertafore with an added fee.

Is that correct? Any suggestions on best practice?

I believe that unless you are only speaking of only one additional state that using the individual states websites is not a real option for most most non resident licenses, lets be honest.

Isn't NIPR affiliated with Sircon as well?

State's DOI normally link to NIPR anyway.

I use Sircon for notifications, dashboard, etc. but I'm licensed in a lot of states. You could probably get away with whatever option is cheapest if you are just looking to add one.

Go to Home Page | NIPR and you can apply for licensing in all or as many non-resident states as you like. They all have different fees, so pay attention to that. In my experience, it usually takes from 1 to 5 business days for the license to be issued.
