I just got my MLR Goldenrule refund check generated by the anointed one for $320, larger than I expected, but I also knew GR was running low on the MLR numbers and they came in at 72.5%. So, 7.5% was refunded to me. This just might buy my vote!! :nah:

I have a $10k family of 4 HSA for $428/mo.

My mother in law had a $450/mo 5k HSA with GR and got a $160 refund or 3% rebate

Since I deduct the premium through the self emp biz, I'm assuming this is taxable.

I sent Timmy Geithner an email on your behalf. He will be contacting your soon with a response.

$428 is really good.

I have small groups that are laying $100,000 a year and they are only getting $600.

That refund check is going to be tough to overcome from a repeal process.

Does anyone know if the high risk pools are also governed by the MLR?

My state's high risk pool runs at about a 130% loss ratio I think. Way more is spent on care than is collected in premiums.

Doubt it, since they are almost always self funded. Even still, never heard of a risk pool that breaks even. Most (if not all) are money losers.
