I do not think it's prudent for anyone new to be making a major investment in this market - at this time. Some of us are in too deep of course, but the uncertainties, I feel are far too great for the newer agent.

If I were starting, I'd get real good at the Medicare stuff - under 65 can always be added later if events break favorably.

Thanks for the advice; I'll research it. My perception is there is more money in under 65 (may be wrong) and out gov't is not so great with revolutionary reforms, especially in something like healthcare :)

I know that's what you're hoping for - but I wouldn't be so sure this time.

There is extraordinary energy for it that has never existed. I'm not personally for it, but I assure you - there will be changes of some kind. Whether good or bad for the agent, nobody knows at this point!

The smarts ones among us will hedge and prepare.
