Guardian Broker Contract

Does anyone have access to a Guardian broker contract? I am not interested in the FR contract but the broker version so I can offer it but keep my indy status.

Thanks!

You broker Guardian through the General Agent. There's a large agency in Atlanta, Peachtree I think it's called. Give them a call, they'll be able to set you up.

I was a Guardian FR for many years. They bring a lot to the table for an FR, but there may be better options as an independent.

On the life side, Ohio National is near perfect for the indy. Their DI is respectable too - on the same par with Principle.

The problem with Ohio National is their underwriting. I can't seem to get anything placed due to having people rated up.

Wow, that's amazing I have never found a company easier to do business with. I have actually had policies placed with Ohio National in standard or even preferred that other carriers offered rated policies. Not sure why you are having these issues.

Richard, I hear that from time to time, but it just hasn't been my experience - and I tend to write larger faces. I have 5 or 6 cases this year with faces over a million that were issued preferred or super preferred with no APS requested.

One place you will hear of Ohio National being difficult is from IMOs and brokerages who CAN"T offer Ohio National. Besides, in my career with Guardian I don't recall them being "easy" on underwriting either.

Exactly my thoughts. Guardian is not easy on underwriting either.
