Hi,
Some body hit my car on the road when i stopped on a two way left turn lane.He accepted the mistake and we exchanged the insurance details.I dont have drivers license, i got instruction permit. My friend who is an experianced driver just got down the vehicle. Can i claim the insurance company for damage? Do i will face any problems? Please advice me.

you should have gotten a police report.. the guy who hit you.. may have selective memory!!! does the owner have full coverage?. if so put in a claim with his insurance co. they will go after the other guy... if the car owner does not have full coverage... put in a claim with the other guys, insurance company.. at least you have a witness.. good luck..

Thank you for your reply !! .But,wot I want to know is,since I have only IP,and I don't have any experienced driver beside me..still can I go for claim to his insurance company ? .He accepted his mistake and gave me his insurance details.is there any problem to me if I go for a claim with IP in hand?Help in this regard to me will be highly appreciated.

where do you live.. you were driving by yourself? with no one with you? if the guy that hit you. owns up to his mistake. you should be ok...if it is minor damage, the guy that hit you may just pay for the damage, himself.. and not want a claim reported..

However, if you were driving on an IP without an experienced driver you were in violation of the law.

If he was violating the law, he shouldn't have been on the road in the first place. If he hadn't been on the road, the other driver would not have hit him. Still other drivers fault? And who lets an inexperienced and/or unlicensed driver use their car? I don't even let my legal/experienced friends drive my vehicles. It's not their claims history on the line, it's mine!
