Has anyone written a PAP or Commercial policy on a Hearse?

I was thinking this might be a great niche market, with not many players and if you get your name out there can clean up the market.

Are Hearses property of the funeral homes or are they owner/operated by individuals???

Just trying to figure out if prospecting to funeral homes is the right way to approach this.

Don't worry, RBA's meds get a little out of whack every once in a while. He's an okay guy, just have to realize he might be a bit rough around the edges.

In answer to your question, I don't have one. I have never prospected funeral homes. Probably a decent niche market, since I imagine some people (like me) avoid them. I would be okay if my body was NEVER in a funeral home :)

As a rule most funeral homes own at least one hearse and two limos. Some own their own motorcycles for funeral escorts and they will always own at least one service van (used for removals and also to transport flowers to churches, cemeteries, etc.)

On top of that, you generally have a funeral home owner and his wife with company cars and many funeral homes have multiple partners (often brothers and sisters.)

SO yes, I think they would be great prospects for P&C agents.

Exactly what I was thinking.. not the most flattering thing to cover for sure, so many might not think of it.
