Hi Gibril. My understanding is it's harder and harder to get appointments. You first question might be if you even CAN get appointed.

I would not waste your time getting [trying to get] direct appointments when you are starting a new independent agency.
First off find a good cluster or MGA and from there find a specialty.
Only after you have found a specialty and after you have some experience [as an independent] and bring in some business will spending time asking insurance companies for appointments will it make any sense.
