Help a Seasoned Life Agent Get a Running Start with P&C!

NIA- Networked Insurance Agents. A general agency in which you can write business through them. They have a ton of carriers and can really help out the noobs. So far they have done right by me! Hit me up for more info [email protected]

I am going through NIA- they seem to have all the good carriers until I can get direct appointments.

How fast they quote your apps? I lost many HO & autos with my GA that started to produce with a local agency that gave me binding authoity. That worked well till I got my own appointment.

GA's are notoriously slow! I currently have an indication quote for over $12,000- (2) homes (3) autos and $5million umbrella. I've been waiting for 10 business days! I would like to write through a company that has binding authority, but the boss doesn't want to go through an agency... So until we actually get appointed, I tell everyone to wait 2 weeks for an actual quote.

2 weeks for a quote...? ? ?

Man...how can you stay in business doing that?

Do you write personal lines like auto and home?

I tried GA when I started P/C business years ago. They takes forever to get you quotes that you do not want to present to your clients. They also asked too many questions. I have own appointments now and work fantastic. I also worked with other agents in NV and CA. I write business and split commission with them. I have worked with a life/health agency in CA and provide P/C products for their clients. They are seasonal P/C producers.
