Help! Debit Card Business...

Besides the smokeless tobacco and credit card acceptance, what would lead one to write 5 star over RNA or Monumental. If they have a particular niche when it comes to health qualifications, I would love to learn more. Thanks.

No reason to write them over RNA except for those reasons. I think their question on insulin use is 40 years old vs RNA's 50. 5 Star does have a ht/wt chart that while it's pretty liberal is not as good as RNA's no build questions.

The rates are pretty close to RNA's.

Thanks JD, I will stick with RNA. After getting to know those folks in Maui, I prefer to send them business anyway.

How is your persistency with the cc biz? Do they just make the initial payment with the cc or each payment? I just thought the main reason we pulled the money straight out of their accounts was because that worked best with the FE clientele.

Just curious. How much production does RNA require to make their convention?

$96,000 issued/paid over a 15 month qaulaifying period. That's not just submitted and they also take any lapses out of the total.

Now that they are going to a 12 month qualifying I believe the number $60,000. Might be $64,000 as someone else posted?

I had this discussion with an insurance company this week that's looking at taking credit/debit cards.

I would only take the Direct Express if I were an ins company drafting for monthly payments. I would also allow it to be drafted on the day the money is put on the card. That means the 1 st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Wednesdays if that's when they get paid.

Money cards where the person has to put money on the card is bad business. Also charging your insurance is not a good idea in my opinion. The Direct Express is different. The govenment puts that money on there at the same time every month. You can't screw around with it as the user. You can't add money to it on your own.

The people I have with companies that take the direct express are just as solid as checking account payers. The money card, credit card ones are not.
