Hello,
I am looking into E&O insurance for one of my businesses in New Jersey. Could somebody please recommend a broker or somebody to speak with?
Description:
It is a real estate business (but NOT a brokerage, appraisal, etc).
We perform the work of negotiating Short Sales with lenders on a sub-contractor basis for Brokerages and Attorneys. There is no license for the type of work we do. We have plenty of risk management policies in place, but would still like the additional benefit of basic E&O coverage.
So far all the brokers I talked to refuse to understand our business model, or insist we need to be licensed agents or attorneys (which is BS). They say they only cover real estate brokerages.
This is a rapidly growing field and was wondering if there are already any specialized products for Short Sale negotiation services?
