Help Wih E&O Insurance

Make sure you read the calsurance policy carefully. I noticed on mine upon careful inspection that it was written only to cover the specific carriers that EMG used and it was actually more expensive than the one you can get through IHIAA membership.

Also, make sure your claims for Disability Insurance is covered if you sell those products, too. Not all E&O for Life and Health are the same. Make sure you find a good agent and ask him about coverage for the products you sell. If you try to buy E&O simply on the cheap, you get what you pay for.
 
The E&O that you can get being a member of IHIAA is 400 a year and covers all life health accident and LTC. I'm not sure if that includes annuity though, but I've never sold one.

It's actually $440 (you forgot to include the admin fee). There are some holes in the policy if you are selling other products in particular. If someone is already a member of IHIAA and doesn't need too comprehensive of a policy, it's a good choice. It is not a great choice for a life agent though that doesn't really have a need for the IHIAA.
