OH
I mean if there was soooo much uproar about the possibility of an agent steering , and effecting what is presented and the choice of a consumer

Then why is in the world is there such a Wisper on plans going $0 commission and how that will effect what is presented and the choice of a consumer?

Am I missing something here?

Because democrats hate agents

This....they aren't actually there to help seniors. They just hate us and insurance and will use any little excuse to controlled demolition any part of our job. This is why we have to be EXTREMELY involved in politics, going forward, as this job is essentially now a job that hinges on elections. We will have EXTREME power and leverage for the next few years, at least, and we have to pounce and get inside the 3 letter agencies and up in the political sphere.

1) Or they underestimate the role of an agent and figure (wrongly) in most cases seniors come to agents already knowing what plan they want so it doesn't matter.

2) Or they figure more seniors will chose this the plan if the price goes down because they no longer factor in agent commissions into the price (I don't know if they price charged is actually less but if it were).

3) Or the flip side to #2 if the price stays the same and they pay no commission now they will make more profit

4) And they don't understand the folly of rewarding for A while expecting B (very likely they will learn this is retrospect when they try to figure out what went wrong - resuming they come up with 2 when adding 1 plus 1). This usually taught in business schools, this is an update of the original article for the curious: https://www.ou.edu/russell/UGcomp/Kerr.pdf.

Almost all of the folks who contact me have pretty much decided what they want . . . and don't want.

They have researched online, talked to friends, attended seminars, talked to agents (and bots), and read through the thousands of mailers that arrive in their mailbox.

They are more informed than any other prospect I have had prior to working the Medicare market.

But informed doesn't mean they understand . . . and most don't . . .

Exactly, theyre here to end seniors faster than necessary.

The ones living to 90s and even early 100s are the ones not eating the crap food and taking the lisinoprils starting age 50, and every other drug pushed upon them as guinea pigs. Same with people on disability and with mental health issues.

Because all of us agents are getting paid residuals on cases we havent talked to in 10 years. We have found a gold mine of passive income that many upper tier admin dont like bc they are 9-5

Govt will eventually wash out the agent on MAPD products because they CAN. Overhead costs and they dont see why we keep getting our pockets full after a sale.

They are not for the insurance agent period bc its a subsidized program to even exist. When Trump turns off the faucet so will renewals. 💀💰

I’m lmao Trump don’t give 2 shits about the agent . Co’s are experimenting with non commissionable plans to see how direct to consumer works . We could eventually have 2 tiers of products similar to some life products . Direct to consumer cheap Gi like moo sells without an agent . We could have ppo’s that pay no comp and HMO’s that pay comp . I expect overrides to be chopped big for 2026 to start with and the agent gets hit hard by 27 . As pcpi says we get paid residuals of substantial size on people we havent talked to in yrs .
