I call it: Time, the great equalizer.

How are you investing your time?

Time is our greatest asset and when invested wisely can reap more than we could ever imagine.

It also evens the score

We have the same amount of time in a day that Bill Gates has, that Thomas Edison had, and anyone who has or had great success in life.

What are we doing with it?

One hour a day (without really contributing beneficially or gaining knowledge) spent on:

Facebook
Blogs
Forums
Myspace
Rick's favorite porn sites

Is five hours a week, 20 in a month, 240 hours in a year, that's ten full days of time wasted in one year, if it's only one hour per day!

What can you do with that five hours?

1. Cold call. That would be roughly 150 calls, would that generate some business?
2. Work referrals. Would you gain exclusive leads?
3. Walk and talk to business'
4. Call every lead you ever received
5. Exercise
6. Read. Increased learning is tied to increased earning
7. Mentor.
8. Start another venture, something you've always wanted to do
9. Think on and figure out your goals
10. Keep a journal
11. Fill in the blank _____________________

When is the time to start?

NOW!

Or after wasting a minute or so reading this ; )~

Great advice! Even this forum will either be a blessing or curse depending upon how it is used.

In the end it is about intention and purpose. We must use our time intentionally because it is valuable. We must use our time well maybe not for business, but maybe to build a life, to acheive balance and to show others we care about them.

Afterall how many cars houses big screen tv's and money does one person really need. The key is to own your life and your business not let it own you.

You are 100% correct. As a new agent with tons of product knowledge to learn, I have devised a plan that will help me stay on course. I would recommend it to others especially those that B2B cold call all day like I do(Colonial Life).
1st- Get up at 6 a.m. to ease into the day and get your day planned
2nd- Be out the door by 8 a.m. ( I use Friday as appoinment setting day for the following week)
3rd- Work any appointments scheduled and cold call 30 businesses
4th- get home around 5 p.m.
5th- spend time with the family, eating supper and hanging out with the kids
6th- 6:30 to 8 p.m. or so, cold call on the phone to get appts. for my other products like life, med. supps, final expense tc.
6th- 8-9:30 Hang out with the kids and wife, they are usually in bed by 9:30 or so
7th- study a product until 11-12, then go to bed

WEEKENDS-family time, however I am guilty of studying Medicare for two weekends straight.

P.S. I am writing this in my chill out time at 6:42 a.m:cool:

What no xtube ? gotta draw the line somewhere !!;)

Good sound advice.
I'd venture a bet that most who have failed in this business didn't spend an hour a day on quality lead generation, period.
