I posted this in another message, but it's got really good info so I thought I'd give it it's own post. It shows the timeline on the upcoming changes. Seniors will get the $250 this year in the doughnut hole but starting next year they'll get 50% off namebrands while their in the doughnut hole. Obama should have mentioned this in his speech, he'd have a lot more happy seniors. The link below gives some really good info on what's coming....

Health care reform affects younger, older Americans first

I think AARP yanked this article.

Here's a better one.... if I can attach a pdf file, that is.... AH! got it done... Y'all welcome :)

I posted the Timeline as an attachment 3 days ago, and I noticed no one has made any comments.

Did anyone take the time to look at it? If so, what do you think about the "Impact" (below the timeline) items that aren't underscored... for example, 2010: file new rates now, 10/1/10: file new rates, 1/1/13: file new rates, 2014: file new rates.:swoon:

----------------------------------------------------------
Or:
2010: Internet portal to facilitate consumer and small employer shopping...?
(Keep in mind the exchanges are not set up until 2014)

Just for starters.....

Bob, that timeline was prepared in October 2009 and includes a Public (government) Option.

Gee Scott, you say that like it is a bad thing.

FWIW, the Exchange is the public option (for all practical purposes).

Those who buy through the Exchange get tax credits. Buy outside the Exchange and you don't.

Doesn't sound like a level playing field to me.

Care to guess what happens when those credits go away?
