$29k/year per person in claims. Sounds viable for 2014. 2,500 agents have made 800 PCIP referrals. I made 10 of them, so I guess I'm their top producer nationwide? Where's my trip to Hawaii?

CCIIO: Annual PCIP Member Claims Average $28,994 | LifeHealthPro

"But enrollment is running far below expectations. PCIP designers, and critics, originally were predicting that millions of Americans would rush to sign up for coverage.

The consumers who have enrolled have turned out to be far sicker than officials had anticipated: Enrollees are averaging about $29,000 in claims per year. That's twice the average traditional state high risk pools have experienced in recent years, CCIIO officials say."

Quote from the Obama Admin:

"The Obama administration says that the high cost of PCIP patients shows that the high-risk pools are serving the exact population it hoped to target."

Following this logic, if the cost to the taxpayer of PCIP was 3 or 4 times higher than originally predicted, Obama and his people would throw a party to celebrate!

Come 2014, they'll be driving vans around the country to sign up the sickest people they can find for instant, unlimited medical care with health insurers forced to pick up the hefty tab. :skeptical:
