Yep everyone would get $25 per app for commission. That and taking out Medicare Advantage commission would be the death knell.
that would be the death of the medsupp market
premiums would skyrocket, and agents would run for the exit
but no, havent heard anything about that. but i'm also usually the last to find out anything

My personal opinion is that nation wide guaranteed issue would further push people on advantage as prices would get out of control and companies would stop selling them. At this point enough states still let carriers do underwriting so that companies can still make money.
It’s not even an opinion. It’s just fact. Who in their right mind would purchase a med Supp at 65 when you can just wait until you’re unhealthy to buy one?

That same argument was floated after Obamacare passed in 2010 when folks thought you could wait until you got sick and buy health insurance at that point.
It's called section 1557 of the ACA.
Seems to only apply to companies that sell both MAPD, PD and Med Supps.
So if a Med Supp company isn't in the MAPD and PD market it may not affect them. Appears it would affect UHC, Humana , Cigna, Blue Cross , Aetna etc.
