Hire a Telemarketer ?

Re: Hire a Telemarketer??

I would think you would have more success with no to lower hourly and a higher per lead fee. This would give them a reason to set appointments and not update their facebook all day.

Re: Hire a Telemarketer??

Has anyone ever hired a Telemarket Service to get leads?

I know they would have to speak English and all. Have you ever hired one and what where your results? Also, how much did it cost.

SOmeone told me they paid a girl $8 an hour and $1 a lead and was getting okay results.

I'm currently using overseas telemarketers and they do a pretty good job. Depending on the area/product you can't get away with using them, but when I get them dialed in on the right campaigns they do a great job. I don't pay my callers per lead because it gives them an incentive to waste my time by sending over garbage, I pay them an hourly and then bonuses based on quality instead of quantity. PM or e-mail me if you want a caller for $8/hour and I can have you do a phone interview beforehand to make sure you like the person. Whatever route you go, make sure they're on a predictive dialer like mojo, they'll literally make 2-3 times as many calls that way AND you'll be able to track your numbers better.

All I can say is that telemarketers are very helpful. Hiring one will make your business lighter and easier. Try it and just make sure you will get reliable agents.

I would actually argue the opposite approach - you don't want to incentivize them to get leads as this could lead to less reliable data. I'd prefer leads that wanted to be contacted as apposed to people that were "pressured" into becoming leads.

well i guess anything that will get your name out there will help but geesh people are willing to work as telemarketers i just cant imagine doing that but yeah goodluck

Re: Hire a Telemarketer??

I have personally had a lot of success with telemarketers. I started off paying them hourly with a bonus per lead but I found they were wasting a lot of time between calls because they were getting paid either way. When I switched them to per lead they doubled there output. I paid them $9 a lead which may seem a little steep but it has been well worth it.

I like to pay them either $8 an hour or 15 per verified lead. I must be able to contact the lead, verify the lead info and appointment time, date and purpose....then I bonus them per sale...

What insurance line are you using your telemarketers for? are you having them contact individuals or businesses. Once they get a lead how do they send it to you. Contemplating giving a telemarketer a try but I am still not sure.
