Hire a Telemarketer ?

What insurance line are you using your telemarketers for? are you having them contact individuals or businesses. Once they get a lead how do they send it to you. Contemplating giving a telemarketer a try but I am still not sure.

Oh yeah, one more question. when they call someone do they say they are representing your company?

I've done it on FE, Medicare products, business health and a few other products not insurance related. I usually have the telemarketers upload the leads into a web based CRM I use, but we are also starting to do live transfers this week. If you're going to use a telemarketer, make sure you try it for at least a few weeks (even if it's just 20 hours/week) and spend time making sure that the telemarketer (or company if you go that route) really understand what makes a good lead and what isn't worth calling. As far as using the name of your company goes, I usually don't have them mention it unless the prospect asks. More often than not the person at the other end of the line doesn't care what company it is as much as they want to know what we can do for them. Send me a PM if you want more specific info.

very easy to train them yourself, script, rules for a verified lead, must produce 10 verified leads a week job requirement! if they don't....don't pay them.....it's not hard. just be prepared to call yourself while you train the replacement.

if u use a company to do it for you.......MAKE IT CLEAR IN WRITING WHAT CONSTITUTES A BAD LEAD AND THE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE. always pay by check...so if they lie or screw you...PUT A HOLD ON THE CHECK!!!!! Then post it on this site in as many areas as possible.

if a company won't refund bad leads for someone they sold them to outside their contracted agents.....DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

we comp the hell out of a bad lead...but the agent's going to pay for each one they did not contact...THEY CAN ALWAYS GET IN THEIR CAR AND GO SEE THEM!!! Fair ir fair...

we do not sell to anyone but contracted agents. $20 for an exclusive telemarket lead is GREAT...and we replace bad leads.

you don't need to cheat agents to make money.....treat them fair, do good business with and for them...make a little less profit yourself and they stay in the field.
