I sell medicare and know 0 about PNC

I am needing to buy Home Insurance and wanted a decent policy without getting ripped off

Is there anything I need to know when shopping

1st I have talked to allstate and they are wanting me to put my car ins with the home insurance, Is this really the only way to get good rates or is it some marketing ploy?

Depends on the state filing with some companies. I can write in Tennessee, send the particulars and I'll get you proposals from a few companies. Most insurers will want to "bundle" your coverage but some have guidelines that restrict new business without writing everything in the home. Don't know who your auto is through but we can look at that in time if you want

A little of both. It shouldn't be mandatory but you can often get a discount for having the two policies with the same company.

Getting quotes through an independent agent (like Fed Up) is a good idea.

Keep in mind that homeowners insurance has traditionally been more profitable for the insurance industry than auto insurance (some exceptions) so it's easy for insurance companies to be competitive.

The TN Department of Insurance has much consumer oriented guides to Auto and Home insurance as well as lists of all the insurance companies that write in TN. Those lists provides leads to insurance companies that you can shop with.

PS: PNC is a company that makes ammunition.

Most carriers prefer you to package your auto and home and do incentivize you to do so. But make sure the discount outweighs any costs above your current policy.

Companies like State Farm, Farmers, and Allstate will only give you their quote (captives). Shopping with a few IA's will allow you to see several different options and compare multiple quotes.

IMO... Allstate is also terrible at claims and They couldn't pay me to have a policy through them
