What sources can be used to validate property information? What are some of the best tools and at what cost? How much information do you usually obtain. I'm looking to get some opinions and advice on this matter. Help?

zillow.com - free. Has public record information and pictures. It's as accurate as, well, public records. Works well in some areas, not so well in others.

Haines.com - not so free, but it gives me access to bulk records. Zillow is one at a time. Haines is thousands at a time. Depends what you want to do.

Visiting the property. Nothing beats this and its usually a requirement to bind with most carriers.
