How are things in Kosova?

I sent a PM to Val in Kosova a couple of days ago. No response----I hope all is well there. I was having technical difficulties with the forum, but they have been cleared up. However, I asked him to explain the term "Permalink" that appears after the post number in a thread. I was wondering if it is has any relationship to "Permafrost?" Anyone know what it is beside Val?
