I contracted with Oxford through an IMO. The IMO gave me a 115% contract, and provide no support whatsoever, when I could of just went straight to Oxford and receive a 120% contract. Is there anything I can do to get out of this contract?

I would contact your IMO, let them know that you would like a release... Thank them for your help and let them know that you are grateful for everything... If your only reason for leaving is the points, then they may just tell you to F off... or they may just up your points...

If it's actually NOT just about the points, tell them why and you'd be surprised... they may just wish you good luck and send you the release...

Six months of non-production will usually do it, You can contact the carrier to get the best answer.

Why don't you simply ask first. Tell him the reason why and if you produce, then they may just bump you up.

If you don't produce, you should not be searching for a higher contracts, you would be simply wasting your time and everyone else's.

Not meant to be sarcastic but everybody wants a higher contract than what they have. Some deserve it, some don't

Your IMO may be worth the 5 point haircut if they will assist you if you have a problem or if you need some special handling on a case.

Check your contract. With my IMO, I can walk at any time, for any reason.

I get no leads from them, and they have a minimal investment in me. I write business through them; they give me support with contracting, access to quote engines, etc.

Your situation may be entirely different.

Why do so many around here think Oxford is a "must have"?
Forget about the 120 and get some better carriers in your arsenal.
