How Do I Get Started in Selling Medicare Supplements?

I am newly licensed for Health/Life in Wisconsin and looking to market medicare insurance plans. What is the most effective way to meet with the client? I would prefer not to go to their home. What other options are there?

The other option is to meet them at Starbucks. Or call. Or mail. Or email.

Of course, none of those are as effective as meeting them in their home.

There is no shortcut despite what marketers will tell you. Either you learn to sell insurance F2F or increase your chance of failure using other methods many times over.

Thank you Rick for the feedback. My real concern about meeting with people in their homes is the safety factor.
 
One of the best ways to start selling Med Sups and Advanatage Plans is spending time on Medicare.gov, the official U.S. government site for Medicare. If you contract with a major Medicare Advantage Plan carrier you will have to go through certification in which you will learn a lot about selling in this market. You want to go with a big company that has both types of plans. I let the first year agents know that it takes a good year to learn.
In regards to going into their homes think of it as a service to them. Yes you can meet in a library or a community center but places that are noisy should be avoided the older they are due to hearing issues. Best of luck.
