How do you think InsurTech companies will impact Independent Agents?

The insurance industry is following the same trend that the mortgage industry has been taking. You can now get approved for a mortgage through Quicken without even speaking to a human.

We need to evolve as agents or we will simply be left in the dust.

Are their mortgage brokers that still meet with clients face to face... sure! They are also a broke and dying breed.

At state farm, when I get internet leads, they are almost always I complete or have incorrect information. The reality is the majority of consumers don't understand insurance at all. Technology will absolutely impact insurance in many ways, but I can't see a world without agents to explain coverage to others.
