I hear that RNA has a good FE product; is anyone out there utilizing it much?
How does it compare to Columbian or Presidential?

I dont do too much FE, but the opportunity does present itself every now and then.

Columbian has pissed us off beyond belief!!
So we need a replacement product.

How does the underwriting of RNA compare to Columbian? What about rates? And for the million dollar question.... what about comp?

Also, are there any other products I should be looking at in SC that beat Columbian?

really? i thought they where?

so who should i look at in addition to pres. to compete with Columbian?

You shouldn't have any problem at all finding a company to blow Columbian out of the water.

Look at Foresters, AmAm, American Continental, 5 Star. None of them are as good as RNA, but, since you don't have RNA there, they are certainly a huge upgrade from what you have.

Do you sell in North Carolina? RNA is available there.

I'm confused, which is not hard to do. Comparing RNA to Presidential and Columbian, does RNA have a GI product t hall

No, they don't. They have a graded product, but, it is far from GI. Maybe I misunderstood the question? He asked about "FE". If the question about GI final expense only, I missed it.

I know they're (RNA) putting my client through hell on her death claim.
Husband was with RNA through me for 1.5 years, so he hadn't made it to the 2 year point where they don't conduct an investigation before paying claims.

She was told yesterday that they want an autopsy - too late, he was already cremated. Also was told that it might take up to a year to pay the $10,000 claim. The quote was, "Oh yeah, we have LOTS of claims sitting around in here that are already at the one year mark."

That's just my experience, buy that's horrible.

I haven't had too many of my RNA clients to die and the ones that have have all been in the contestability period since I haven't been writing them for 2 years until Oct.

Every one has been paid and the longest wait was 3 months. I was proactive on each one in dealing with the claims dept. and being a squeaky wheel.

Three months is too long in my opinion, but, it is warp speed compared to every FE company I've dealt with while in the contestabilty period. Americo will take 6 to 7 month to deny the claim.

I think it's all a bunch of bull. If these companies don't want to pay claims in the first two years, they should not offer "immediate" coverage or they should change the application process to where there is no need for contestability.

They tell agents to be their field underwriters, but, they won't overturn an underwriting decision in the office based on extenuating circumstances that the supposed agent field underwriter witnessed.

Amen! Since I'm not active with RNA any longer, they would not fax the claim forms to me to allow me to help get the process started. 10 days later the forms arrived at the widow's house. Then, RNA informed me that they need the Agent's Report within 72 hours - so they did want my help after all.

What a pain for the widow so far.

Thanks.
And no, I usually dont sell in NC.

How do you consider all of those an upgrade? Price points?

And no, I am not looking for just GI.
SI/graded is all I am really looking for, but GI is good to have in the bag too.
Too bad RNA isnt in SC
