How many hours a day do you spend working as an insurance agent or do you put into this business?

I'd be curious to know what the average is as well. If by work it meant "seeing people or fighting to see people", not running quotes, visiting online forums, servicing current clients, then I would venture it's less than 3 hours a day on average for most agents.

I would say that it depends on what market you are in. If you are in the life insurance market, a newer agent a in order to be successful might work 10-12 hours a day. Experienced life insurance broker might 4-5 hours day which would be mainly on appointments unless they sell on-line and over the phone. Experienced life broker has someone to schedule appointments for them and to handle "administrative" duties.

I think this depends on the agent, I spend 4 hours a day on the phone and about 3 hours a day on Tues Weds Thurs seeing clients sometimes on Fri but not after 5 weekends are mine and monday is paperwork day. I check My business and do all the office stuff on monday. I am on the phones 4 hours Mon-Friday unless I have clients to see the rest of the time I am jut living life...I love this business.

Paradox; and I don't question anyone's hard work here. M Jans of Quantum club has brokers doing more business working less hours, I think the caveat is handing off the duties to CSR's really. Any of you work that way?
