How much cash should I have to start?

most agents did not have $10K in the bank when they started.

I think I had $20k in an IRA (which I depleted) plus about $30k open credit on cards. Went through all of that my first 12 months . . . took maybe 4 years to pay off the credit cards (I was still plowing as much as possible into my business, taking bare minimum for living expenses.

Changed direction (all insurance) 3x before finding a home with Medicare 12 yrs ago.

What’s not really ever said is very very few people are successful in any sales . Most people just aren’t made for sales . Everyone looks at these you tube videos “ you can make $500 k a yr ( mostly passive income ) . Bs bs bs . This game is hard . It takes an incredible work ethic and never ending desire to succeed the first 5 yrs . You wake up in the am and you just don’t feel like calling 100 people or working 10 appts . Few people have the drive to do that day in day out . All they see is I can make $500 k . Not the 80 hr weeks . Nothing to be ashamed of . Just like every industry few will have great success .
