Humana Group Life, Dental

I have used them for 7 years on the group side.

As far as the Dental goes its a good product. They are competitive with price, network, plan design and technology.

They are not always the cheapest on voluntary dental.

Have you used them for group life only. Everybody advises against this, but I do see a demand for it.

The Humana rep calls me often to promote this product and assures me that there are group life agents making it.

Again, not talking about voluntary, I know the commish is higher on it, but that's not my market. Tried it and just not my cup of coffee.

Bill,

If the employer is willing to contribute that opens the door to a lot of carriers. I would quote it out.
UHC has some of the best life rates that I have seen in groups under 50.

How big is the group?

The group is around 40+/-. I've never done just a life group, and it's always been an add on. However, the biz owner wants to offer life, and can't afford Medical for them.

I think that there are probably a lot of opportunities for these types of groups with low wage workers, but the obvious problem is super high turnover.
