Not everyone who goes to Assurant has health conditions. I use them for a lot of maternity since GR doesn't offer it in MD and Aetna is more expensive than Assurant.

So for healthy females who want maternity it's off to Assurant and normally they get approved within 60 seconds, download their cards and they're set.

Just as an FYI. Humana will no longer write the maternity rider in MI, effective somewhere around the end of the month.

The maternity ride went no where. $350 extra for a $1000 deductible and 60% coverage.

They are pulling that product in all markets I believe.

In MI - BCBS of MI has no medical questions including maternity so who would buy it in MI? Not to mention Medicaid and 20 other programs that encourage people to NOT purchase Health Insurance.
