I Am Wanting Back into the Industry!

Hello everyone. A brief history. I am 32, live in Oklahoma city, in 2000 I was License with AFLAC and lasted 9 months. I lived in a very rural area in far northeast oklahoma (whole county about 20,000). Skip forward to now and I am thinking of getting back into the industry. I would have to start all over, get a new License.

I have been reading the forum here for a few days and it seems like every company that is looking for new agents is being bashed here. Conseco, Pennsylvania life, physicians mutual, senior health, aflac, futurity, ua. etc.... Any company I have searched here has a lot of, if not total negative feedback. What is a good company for me to look into. I need (I think) to be captive, for training and such. I have forgotten more than I know but have general knowledge and understanding. I have been in sales and customer service my whole working life and really like the idea of truly helping people, selling a product that I feel good about, while making a great living. Can you all help me?

You may want to explore the senior market. I believe it is the easiest to begin with. Relatively short learning curve, some of the highest rewards and not necessary to be captive. In fact I would not recommend an agent be captive in that market.

I will be more than happy to give you a more detailed information of how you can do that and help in any way I can if you want to give me a call.

The agent market place is a low point with less people coming into the business . The average age of an agent is in their 50 60 and 70s.

If your looking for three companies who provide training Mass Mutual, The Guardian and NY Life. Keep in mind that these companies have high production standards. You can not be mediocre in production.

American General was a great company for that. Now they're owned by AIG so I don't know if it's still that way... If not maybe monumental? I'd never sell them again as an independent. But I know career agents who recently retired from there.

Met life was good for me too, experience-wise..
