My wife's not a twin, but even after 46 years of marriage, if I call home and one of her sisters answers, it still takes me a minute before I realize it's the sister. They think they're SO funny! I just got an invitation to a long time client's 100th birthday celebration in Oakland, CA. He is a cool old guy. Mr Payne. When I wrote his wife many years ago we sat and talked so long she made us dinner.
WWII Army veteran. We both served on the same isolated island in the Baring Sea 40 years apart. Only he served as Black private and lived in a tent with only freezing mud for a floor. Big difference.
Think I am going to go.
I love this career, mostly.
