If you don't already watch the CBS Sunday Morning, you should.
My wife and I actually record it every week to make sure we can watch it if our Sunday is too hectic. They have a lot of these stories that are very uplifting. They also do really interesting interviews and some general news with a little comedy and nature thrown in.
It's so much better than the "regular" news.

I love the good people simply being good people stories.
Humbles me. I think I am doing some good then I see these people. The quite good people.

Also I really enjoy interviews especially on topic I am unfamiliar with or only am familiar with one angle.

Absolutely. Common sense and Critical thinking can not be taught.
There are poor uneducated people throughout the world building shelters, factories and tools out of scrap. With tools they built.
People are strong.
