I will never write another DE case again

Wrote a small DE case with Transamerica about 2 years ago. A few months back the policyholder called me and needed to change the account number. I contacted Transamerica and they sent her the forms. Afterwards I received a letter and so did the policyowner that stated 2 months will be deducted from her account. The company took 3 months and the policyowner is calling me making threats. I had nothing to do with the transaction. I told her that I couldn't believe she would contact a lawyer over $37 but do what she thought was best. Writing DE is not worth the BS that you may have to endure in the future.
 
Wino I've written at least 125 de apps in past 4 years and I'd say the persistency is 90% 13 months . Most were ss billing with Trans . Trans is pia if card lost as you must fill out new form . Prosperity is awesome as they take the change from agent on the phone .

Honestly I just don't run into it much. Same with smokers.

It's not about the DE, it's more than likely more about Trans. Find a new DE company and you won't have this type problem.

You can run across the same type problem with Trans if a client is changing their checking account. I'm not saying it is a "usual" thing with them, but it certainly isn't unusual either!
 
The problem with Trans is simple. First you have to get in a week or so before hand even with customer service on nfs's . With prosperity they will redraft that night just by the agent calling in
 
You can literally email prosperity the new card information and have the problem solved and 30 seconds, it's a carrier problem not a client problem.

Prosperity will let you do that? Do you just call into customer service? I was required to go fill out a new form when I contacted them by email... Which I had to do because it seemed to be impossible to get someone on the phone or a callback for several days.

Have you tried calling their customer service department lately? Talk about a train wreck, if a client isn't mad before they, the 2 he wait will set them off.:yes:
