Illegals Not Going to Be Covered

I was listening to the President of the United States on radio earlier today talking about health care (insurance?) reform. I was shocked to hear him say something untruthful.

In response to a question he emphasized over and over again that illegals would not be covered other than for emergency services. And he re-iterated that that was never the plan.

This is a complete crock. The factor that he is not mentioning is that, while his plan would not allow for the enrollment of illegal aliens, it will also not allow for any process that allows you to check to confirm or document that a person is here legally. So we know how those programs go, eh?

Further, the much bandied about 46 million uninsured number includes a high percentage of illegals in it. So what is he saying then, that he is not going to insure everyone or that the number of uninsured that need to be insured via reform is actually less.

Liar, liar, pants on fire.

Yes, what I heard on air america was 47 million uninsured citizens.

The whole shebang seems to be going down in flames.

Next stop - legalizing the illegals?

That ought to get 'em going!

Within the democratic parlance, there is no such word as "illegal." The word of choice is "undocumented." Thus, we are not making criminals into citizens, we are merely accomodating folks by providing them with the proper documentation.

Change you can believe in.

Makes me think I can drop my health insurance. I can just go to any ER at any hospital...hmmm.

Zbigniew Brzezinski states that removing Sadam was good but in no way worth the cost. I tend to agree, but don't claim to have a geo political crystal ball. I do wish we would just stop with the illegal immigrant rant in this country. If they really wanted to stop it, why don't they? For a fraction of the money spent in Iraq, we could have "sealed the borders" many times over. We could have a 20' chain link fence (barb wire coil at top), lighted, with a gun turret about every 100 yards for a fraction of what the Iraq war has cost …so far. I mean, we are over there for "security" reasons correct?
I've got nothing against immigrants. I mean, hell, there I am sitting in a little house made of mud, eating my chips and beans for the 119th day in a row … yeah, I'm gonna say F it, if I die trying, it's better than living like this, and get the hell out. Who can blame them? To me, it's really all about the cheap labor which helps keep the unions out, especially in say TX. or Fl. This continued back and forth rant about e/r visits, etc. If they want it to stop then secure the borders and be done with it?
