Why commercial auto?

Find a dealer that sells commercial vehicles. Tell them to send you all their clients or else you and your cousin Tony will break their knees.

Commercial auto is what brings in the most premium i think, i'm looking for truckers, box trucks, dump trucks etc.

Woof I've had a couple of truckers. Loss ratios are terrible, only Progressive really writes them, and these guys cancel all the time.

There have to be better industries to focus on

i've gotten a lot of feed back that is similar that you gave me, but most times they always say "I have written a few" I would imagine with one loss your whole ratios break when you write a few. I am interested because I met a few guys in southern California who do very well but do it the old fashion way. I was just seeing if there was anyone out there with a better method than post cards. Just looking for more premium than what auto has to offer. I appreciate the feedback nyc2phi

Im not licensed in P/C but, I did work as a courier a ways back but at that time my current insurer didnt do commercial and so I had to get new coverage.

What did I find out, every new worker/driver went to one particular agent/agency. How many of us were there? At that time, my driver number was in the 400's. I can only imagine, even if all of us were not on the same book, it must still be one hefty book of business though.

-you want to cover individual truckers---comm.Drivers?
-you want to land auto dealers?

I'm looking for leads so that I can insure commercial drivers like moving operations, truck drivers or local deliveries.

Do you know of anyone or would anyone be willing to share some info?
